OK - I have to ask - what is "snow cream"? I'm a city girl nowhere near snow of any kind - ;))
Its fun to have snow at least one a year! Sorry about your snow cream. I have heard about that; but haven't ever tried it myself. Big storm headed our way once again on Friday. We will see what it brings us; on top of what we still have on the ground. Mother Nature is surprising us with different Spring expectations!
When I was a child - we made our snow cream (from the rare snow events) with whole milk, sugar and vanilla flavoring. I suppose it is richer with the evaporated milk but you should know that whole milk will work too.
When I was a kid we made snow creme the same way Gene did. Now I'm not so sure our snow is clean enough to eat! Hopefully we won't have snow again until next winter...or EVER!! I like it about 85 degrees and sunny with no humidity and I am not so patiently waiting....xx, Carol
It's spring alright! 29 degrees here this morning with snow predicted for tonight. We always used Carnation milk to make snow cream too. It's delicious!!
Never heard of snow cream either, I’m sure I missed something good!
